Stephen Conradie was Chairman and founder of DNA Supply Chains Ltd. He was also co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of XPS Services and co-founder and Chairman of SMG. Stephen is widely regarded as the doyen of 4th Party Logistics in South Africa. His entrepreneurial qualities and his understanding of the financial aspects of the logistics industry ensure quality leadership in this highly competitive industry.
Joseph Plastow was born in England and educated in South Africa, and is qualified as a Certified Internal Auditor. He began his career as an Internal Auditor at Safmarine, an international shipping business offering container and break-bulk shipping services worldwide, which was acquired by A.P. Moller-Maersk group in 1999. Joe has been resident in the Isle of Man since 1995, when he was seconded by Safmarine as Financial Manager; his portfolio of companies was involved in owning and chartering Container Vessels and leasing Containers, as well as Employment Portfolio responsibilities, including the Marine Personnel Payroll. On the disposal of Safmarine to Maersk, Joe became Practice Manager at Moore Stephens, before joining Onyx in 2000 where he was appointed Director in 2001.
He is currently the Isle of Man resident director of Onyx Resources, Onyx Ventures and Onyx Worldwide Holdings Limited. His particular competencies include financial management, international company management and systems, procedures and controls, and his areas of specialization cover Transportation (seafreight, airfreight and road haulage), Financial Services, Commodities, Education, Vessel Owning and Chartering, as well as Payrolls.
Dr Geoff Cowley
Dr Cowley has been a Chief Executive Officer of major corporations in Africa, Russia, the United Kingdom, China and the Middle East, including senior executive positions in Anglo American Corporation (SA), De Beers (SA), British Energy, British Rail, Murray and Roberts (Dubai), the Press Corporation (Malawi), Basic Element (Russia), Kinross (Russia), Maple Minerals Corporation (Canada), White Tiger Gold (Russia), and CIC Gold Group (the United Kingdom and China).
He has advised several governments on economic growth and expansion (Oman, Malawi, and South Africa) and was responsible for establishing the European Development Corporation under the auspices of the EC, through which he assisted in the stabilisation and industrial rebuilding of several countries in Eastern Europe.
Following this, Dr Cowley was, for several years, a Senior Advisor on African Affairs (Political and Economic), to the World Economic Forum, attending the annual meeting of government and business leaders at Davos.
Currently, he is CEO/Director of Onyx Capital Partners Ltd and a non-executive director of several companies in Mining, Energy and Financial Services.

Colin Ellis is currently the Senior Partner of London based Chartered Accountants Anstey Bond LLP and the Financial Director and founder of Onyx Capital Partners Limited
Since founding Anstey Bond LLP in January 2011, the practice has built up to a turnover of £1 million in just five (5) years. Colin is the driver of the business, which provides a full spectrum of accounting, tax and advisory services. This includes a mix of Accounting, Audit and Taxation for both private individuals, and private and public companies. Colin also holds a number of Directorships where he provides financial knowledge for companies from start-ups to UK Listed companies, where over 30 (thirty) years in the finance industry has led to a sound knowledge of running companies both on a UK and International basis. Within the knowledge base Colin has developed are specialist areas including acting as an advisor and auditor to companies which are registered with the Financial Conduct Authority in London, and handling Corporate Finance matters with a number of Alternative Investment Market (AIM) and other junior market public listings, including sectors such as Mining and Innovation Technology companies.
Peter attained his BA LLB qualification from the University of Cape Town.
He was Managing Director of Plascon and Chief Executive Officer of Barloworld Coatings from 1992 until 2003.
Peter was a board member and director of Barloworld Limited from 1995 until 2008, and a shareholder and director of NCS Resins, Control Instruments and Freeworld Coatings.
He is currently a director of Nampak Limited, Earth Probiotic Industrial, Chairman of Eazi Access Rentals and associate of Onyx Worldwide Holdings Limited.
He is also a trustee of the President’s Trust and the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
Michelle has over 25 years of legal, merchant and investment banking, advisory, and venture capital experience, predominantly in sub-Saharan African Markets.
Michelle’s expertise lie in corporate finance, private equity, corporate advisory services and general merchant banking. Her experience in these fields was built over a period of time at BDO Spencer Steward, the Hawkwood Group, the Origen Group, the Corporate and Investment Banking division of CFX Bank Limited, Imara Corporate Finance Zimbabwe (Private) Limited, the Merchant Banking Division of Barclays Bank of Zimbabwe Limited and Merchant Bank of Central Africa Limited.
Michelle holds a BA LLB (Honours) Degree from Rhodes University and was admitted in 1991 as a Legal Practitioner by The Law Society of Zimbabwe. She qualified as an attorney at Wintertons, Harare.
